Metroz Insecticide is a systemic and translaminar
insecticide used to control piercing and sucking insect pests. It is highly
effective against Brown Plant Hoppers (BPH), White-Backed Plant Hoppers (WBPH),
Green Leafhoppers (GLH), aphids, jassids, whiteflies, and thrips. It is widely
used in rice cultivation and is also effective in vegetables, cotton, maize,
fruits, and other field crops.
Metroz contains Pymetrozine, which works by inhibiting the
feeding behavior of insects. After exposure, pests stop feeding immediately,
leading to starvation and eventual death. Its systemic and translaminar action
allows the product to move within the plant and through leaf tissues,
protecting even unsprayed parts and ensuring long-lasting control while being
gentle on beneficial insects.
