VIBRANT Insecticide is a granular insecticide containing Thiocyclam Hydrogen Oxalate 4% GR. It has systemic and contact activity for the effective control of stem borer in rice. The product should be applied as per the recommended dosage and application timing mentioned on the product label.

Method of Application

• Apply in transplanted rice between 15–25 days after transplanting.
• Apply in direct-seeded rice between 20–30 days after sowing.
• Broadcast VIBRANT evenly over the entire rice field.
• VIBRANT may be mixed with 6–8 kg of sand or fertilizer before application.
• Apply under moist field conditions.
• Maintain good moisture or 2–3 inches of standing water in the rice field after one week of application.

Mode of Action

When the larvae of rice stem borer ingest the VIBRANT-treated rice plant, VIBRANT enters the insect system and acts on the nervous system. It blocks the transmission of information in the larva. The treated larva becomes quickly paralyzed, stops feeding and damaging the rice plant, loses body response and tension, and eventually dies.

• Do not eat, drink, smoke, or chew betel leaves during application.
• Read and follow all instructions on the label and leaflet carefully.
• Save the container with the label to show the physician in case of accidental poisoning.
• Call a physician immediately if any symptoms of poisoning appear in a person who is using or has recently used this insecticide.
