Product Name: Conika®
Technical Composition: Kasugamycin 5% + Copper Oxychloride 45% WP
Type: Fungicide & Bactericide
Mode of Action: Systemic + Contact
Application: Preventive / Prophylactic
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Conika® is a combination product with fungicidal and bactericidal properties for the prevention of bacterio-fungal complex disease formation in multiple crops.
It combines the systemic action of Kasugamycin with the contact action of Copper Oxychloride, providing activity against diseases caused by both fungal and bacterial organisms. Its dual mode of action supports preventive disease management, and timely application is recommended for better disease control.
Conika® provides 7–15 days of control of bacterial and fungal diseases, depending on climatic conditions and the virulence of the pathogen or bacteria. Preventive applications are recommended for better disease control.
KEY FEATURES & BENEFITS
• Provides 7–15 days of control of bacterial and fungal diseases, depending on climatic conditions and pathogen/bacterial virulence.
• Provides prophylactic (preventive) activity against diseases.
• Combines systemic and contact modes of action.
• Copper Oxychloride controls diseases present on leaf and fruit surfaces.
• Kasugamycin inhibits the incorporation of amino acids into bacterial ribosomes during protein synthesis.
• Provides complementary activity against fungal and bacterial disease pressure.
MODE OF ACTION
- Kasugamycin:
Kasugamycin is a systemic antibiotic that inhibits the incorporation of amino acids into bacterial ribosomes during protein synthesis, thereby inhibiting bacterial growth.
- Copper Oxychloride:
Copper Oxychloride is a contact fungicide and bactericide. Upon contact with moisture, it releases cupric ions (Cu⁺¹), which have fungicidal and bactericidal activity on leaf and fruit surfaces.
Together, these complementary systemic and contact actions provide prophylactic protection against complex fungal and bacterial disease pressure.
