Stock Content :- Glyphosate 41% SL (I.P.A SALT) .

Stock Category :- Herbicide.

It is a herbicide which contains Isopropylamine salt of glyphosate 41% (w/w) and balance inert material and auxiliaries. It is effective against annual and perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds of tea.

Time of Application: Apply as directed spray when the weeds are young and actively growing.

Preparation of Spray Solution: Add slowly the required quantity of weedicides to water & stir well, with a stick or rod. While preparing large quantity of spray solution & weedicide to a bucket of half filled with water,Stir & then empty the pre-solution into the bulk of water.

Plant Protection Equipment: Knapsack sprayer fitted with a flat fan or flood jet nozzle is to be used while applying the weedicide Gator rocking sprayer & Kanpsack weedicide wprayer can also be used.

Symptoms of Poisoning: The early symptoms may be combination of headache, nausea, vomiting, giddiness and convulsion Vomiting may occur if swallowed

First Aid:-

It swallowed, gastric lavage with warm water may be given, followed by administration of mixture containing activated charcoal 2 parts, Magnesium oxide 1 part and tannic acid 1 part on 300 ml of warm water Wash contaminated skin with soap and plenty of water. In case of eye contamination flush them with clean water Call a physician

Antidote: Symptomatic treatment to control convulsion, phenobarbital (up to 0.7 gms. per day) maybe given.

Storage:-

1) The packages containing the herbicide shall be stored in separate rooms or premises away from the rooms or premises used for storing other articles particularly articles of or shall be kept in separate almirahs under lock and key depend upon the quantity and nature of the herbicide.

2) The rooms or premises meant for storing the herbicide shall be well-built, dry well lit and ventilated and or sufficient dimension to avoid contamination with vapour.

Disposal of Empty Containers:-

1) The packages shall be broken and buried away from habitation:

2) The used packages shall not be left out side to prevent their re-use.

3) Packages or surplus material and washing from the machines and containers should be disposed of in a safe manner so as prevent environment or water pollution

Precautions by users:-

1) Avoid inhalation, skin or oral contact with the weedicide.

2) Do not chew tobacco, eat food or smoke during spraying.

3) While spraying. Use protective clothing, rubber gloves, masks overall rubber apron hood or hat.

4) Wash hands well with soap and water after spraying.

5) Spray only in the direction of wind currents and not against so as to avoid spray drifts setting on body.

6) Clean sprayer thoroughly with water after spraying.
