Carfentrazone one ethyl 40DF is a selective herbicide fast acting Post emergent contact herbicide belonging to the new class of herbicides, the aryl triazolines, with excellent action against many important broad leaf weeds and sedges in wheat & direct seeded rice. Carlentrazone ethyl 40DF attack and destroy the cell membrane resulting in the collapse and death of the plant

Recommendation for use:-

Carfentrazone ethyl 40DF should be u seed as foliar spray for the control of following broad leaf weeds in wheat and Direct seeded rice.

Direction for use for one acre area: Wheat:-

Empty 1 sachet of 20 gm of Carfentrazone ethyl 40DF in 1 liter of clean water to make stock solution. Shake/stir well to mix the powder thoroughly. Pour 100ml of the stock solution per knapsack sprayer with 15 liter water and stir well. Spray 10 such tanks of the suspension (150 lit) per acre, using flood jet nozzle, for a thorough coverage of broad leaf weeds.

Direct seeded Rice:-

Empty the required quantity of Carfentrazone ethyl 40DF in 8 liters of clean water to make stock solution. Shake/stir well to mix the powder thoroughly. Pour 1 liter of the stock solution per knapsack sprayer with 15 liter water and stir well. spray 8 such tanks of the suspension (120 liter) per acre, using flood jet nozzle, for a thorough coverage of broad leaf weeds.

Drift management :-

Avoid drift on to the broad leaved crops and plants adjoining wheat crop area while spraying since it may damage the broad leaf crop/plants.

Compatibility:-

Carfentrazone ethyl 40DF is a compatibles with commonly used grass herbicides and broad leaf herbicides in wheat and direct seeded rice crops.

Precautions:-

Do not use cooking utensils for preparing spray. Use stick for stirring the spray solution. Wear hand gloves to avoid contact کھا with the skin. Also avoid inhalation and contact with eyes. Wear protective clothing, mask, goggles, and boots while spraying and do not expose yourself to spray drift. Do not blow nozzles with mouth. Do not eat, drink or smoke while handling or applying the product. Do not store unused solution. Clean sprayer, buckets and other utensils with water daily after use. Wash hands with soap and plenty of water and change clothes after the work is over. Also wash the contaminated clothes. Do not contaminate streams, ponds, waterways etc. by discharging left over spray materials into them or by cleaning sprayers, contaminated buckets etc. in them. In case of any sign of poisoning, immediately consult the doctor.

Conditions to be specified for storage of herbicides:-

1) The package containing herbicides shall be stored in separate rooms or premises away from the rooms of premises used for storing other articles or shall be kept in separate almirahs under lock and key depending upon the quantity and nature of the herbicides.

2) The rooms or premises meant for storing herbicides shall be well built, dry, well-lit and ventilated and of sufficident dimension to prevent environmental contamination with vapour of herbicides.

Disposal of used packages, surplus materials and washings of herbicides:-

1) It shall be the duty of manufacturers, formulators of herbicides and operators to dispose packages or surplus materials and washing in a safe manner so as to prevent environmental or water pollution.

2) The used packages shall not be left outside to prevent their re-use.

3) The packages shall be broken and buried away from habitation.

Spray tank clean up:-

Thoroughly clean all mixing and spray equipment immediately following application by rinsing outside, inside of the tanks with clean water. Drain tank completely. Half fill tank with clean water and ammonia to give 1% solution. Agitate for 15 minutes after adding water to fill tank completely and drain the tank. Again rinse with clean water and drain. Collect washing. Tank washing should be disposed off in a safe manner to prevent environment/ water contamination.

Symptoms of poisoning: Symptoms of overexposure include shaking, tearing of the eyes and low body temperature.

First Aid Measures:-

1) If inhaled remove the patient into fresh air. If not breathing give artificial respiration.

2) If ingested immediately give two glass of water and induce vomiting.

3) Remove contaminated clothes, wash contaminated skin and clothes with soap and plenty of water.

4) If eyes are contaminated, wash for 15 minutes with clean water.

5) See a doctor if irritation persists.

Antidote:- No specific antidote available. Treat symptomatically.
Caution:- Not to be used on crops other than specified on this label/leaflet.
